UnitedHealth Group’s corporate headquarters in Minnetonka, Minnesota, could have a new tenant, as the company indicated that it would not renew its lease agreement at the end of 2022. A spokesperson said that while Minnesota remains the company’s home for now, it is continuing to evaluate the best arrangement for its employees who choose to come to an office space to work. UnitedHealth has been leaving several office properties and purchasing others, as it shifts to hybrid and remote models of work. The company had at least 780,000 square feet of office space up for lease in Minnesota in October 2022, and in December 2022, it purchased an 8,500-square-foot property near its existing campus.
