Boston Scientific, a medical device manufacturer based in Marlborough announced in June that David Wichmann has been elected to its board of directors, effective immediately. According to the press release, Wichmann recently served as CEO of global conglomerate UnitedHealth Group from 2017 to 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Previous engagements: <\/em><\/strong>Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Wichmann was a partner at the global accounting firm Arthur Andersen & Co. He has served on the boards of UnitedHealth Group and Tennant Co. and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Illinois State University.<\/li>

Expertise:<\/em><\/strong> “From his experience leading one of the largest health care organizations in the world, Dave has unique insights about opportunities to improve patient outcomes while also taking costs out of the health care system,” Mike Mahoney, CEO, and chairman of the board at Boston Scientific said in the release.<\/li>
