{"id":6161,"date":"2022-09-22T09:11:25","date_gmt":"2022-09-22T09:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/?p=6161"},"modified":"2022-09-23T05:58:04","modified_gmt":"2022-09-23T05:58:04","slug":"5-recent-payer-provider-contract-breaks-health-resources","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/5-recent-payer-provider-contract-breaks-health-resources\/","title":{"rendered":"5 Recent Payer-Provider Contract Breaks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From an impending expired contract between BCBS and Texas Health Resources to Penn State swapping Aetna for Highmark to administer employee benefits, these are five recent payer-provider contract breaks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/blue-cross-blue-shield\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Blue Cross and Blue Shield<\/a> of Texas<\/strong>\u00a0will no longer have an in-network contract with Amarillo, Texas-based Baptist St. Anthony Health System after Dec. 7 if the two sides are unable to agree on reimbursement rates.<br><br><strong>Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas<\/strong>, Arlington-based Texas Health Resources and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas will have no in-network contract with each other after Oct. 3 without a new agreement.<br><br><strong>Anthem Blue Cross of California<\/strong>\u00a0and Hollister, Calif.-based Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital have terminated their contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/57-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6162\" width=\"833\" height=\"399\" srcset=\"https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/57-1.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/57-1-300x144.jpg 300w, https:\/\/distilinfo.com\/healthplan\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/09\/57-1-768x369.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 833px) 100vw, 833px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aetna&nbsp;<\/strong>canceled a contract with an unnamed vendor that provides transportation to dual-eligible seniors in Ohio following complaints from beneficiaries and the state about no-show rides.
