Next Level Urgent Care has collaborated with Allscripts, a health IT vendor, on an EHR implementation that is expected to improve interoperability and optimize clinician data workflows. In an effort to promote interoperability across its facilities, an urgent care company in Texas will adopt an EHR from health IT vendor Allscripts.
- Facilities: Next Level Urgent Care has 20 facilities in the Houston area and offers walk-in care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries such as sprains, strains, lacerations, allergies, rashes, and congestion concerns. In order to improve interoperability across its network of locations, the healthcare business will adopt the Allscripts Touchworks EHR platform as well as Microsoft Azure hosting and services.
- Achievement: “Allscripts will help us achieve a single, clinical, patient record and unified workflow for medical staff to better serve patients that are in search of high-quality, cost-effective, immediate medical care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries,” Next Level CEO, Juliet Breeze, MD, said in a public statement.
- Architecture: The open architecture and configurability of the EHR platform are expected to assist Next Level Urgent Care in scaling the health IT solution and integrating it with existing tools. In order to improve population health, Next Level Urgent Care is also introducing a patient engagement solution from a health IT provider.
- Partnership: “We’re proud to partner with Next Level Urgent Care in its efforts to provide excellent healthcare to the city of Houston, all while achieving its business and operational goals,” said Allscripts CEO, Paul Black. “We look forward to supporting Next level Urgent Care’s vision of harnessing integrated clinical and financial solutions that drive improved outcomes for the organization and its patient communities.”
- Implementations: The healthcare organization will also implement financial management technology from Allscripts, which Next Level Urgent Care expects will streamline operational efficiencies and drive revenue growth. A recent KLAS report revealed that Allscripts scored below the market average for combined overall product suite grade and combined overall loyalty grade, earning a C- for both.
