Today's Fast Five Tue, 31 Aug 2021
Brought to you by :

Hello Omni Talk Fans! Chris here, back with pen in hand for you again today.

You know, I am often asked, "Chris, why Five?"

Well, to tell you the truth, as Anne and I were starting up our business, we would get pounded with emails from all these various retail publications that were oftentimes inundated with inconsequential headlines just to fill space.

And, frankly, we don't have time for it, and neither should you.

So each day Anne and I do our best to cull through the top five stories that matter most in terms of retail's omnichannel evolution.

You can rest assured that each headline selected has been handpicked by Anne and me for a reason, and that none of them are the result of some AI algorithm just regurgitating back what every other news source is relaying to you based on what "popular opinion" is clicking.

Each headline we select is meant to have meat on the bone, and hence we rank and tease them each for you below, and let you decide where your own interests should take you.

Oh, and of course, we also like Vin Diesel movies with fast cars.

In today's Fast Five headlines:

1.
Amazon is partnering up with Affirm to give Amazon customers the option to split out puchases of $50 or more into monthly installments. (Read More)
2.
Ikea is bringing another awesome taste of Europe stateside, this time with a newly announced furniture buyback and resale program out of a store in Pennsylvania. (Read More)
3.
Our good friend at Omni Talk, Dave Steck of Schnucks, becomes the first grocery executive to launch robots in-aisle chainwide. (Read More)
4.

5.
And, Farfetch shows just how smart it is again with the launch of a new pre-order service for luxury brands. (Read More)

Be careful out there,

P.S. Signifyd's State of Fraud Report for 2021 is now available on Omni Talk via the main feature above. As Anne said to me this morning, "Chris, you have to check this sh*t out! Some of the lengths people go to defraud retailers is absolutely crazy!"

We will also be interviewing Signifyd about the report for a podcast that we plan to drop in our newsletter quite soon, so stay tuned!

P.P.S. In light of our technical difficulties with LinkedIn last week, our event -- The Secret To Post-Pandemic Digital Marketing: Customer First, Not Channel -- with Epsilon SVP Lisa Collings has been rescheduled to next Wednesday, September 8th at 12:30 EST.

You can register for the event by clicking below.
