From a dispute that went all the way to the state Supreme Court to new value-based payment models, here are recently signed contracts between payers and providers published by Becker: The Birmingham Business Journal announced on August 2 that Cigna and Ascension Health Alabama had renewed their commercial partnership. They had been unable to achieve an agreement on payment rates for several months. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Wisconsin and Ascension Wisconsin signed a multi-year value-based contract on Aug. 2 to prolong the two companies’ in-network cooperation. Aetna and Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital inked an agreement on August 1 to maintain Texas Children’s primary care, urgent care, and specialty care physicians and providers in Austin in Aetna’s network. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Ohio and the Cleveland Clinic announced a multi-year contract agreement on July 31 that will keep Anthem’s Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and employer-sponsored health plan customers in the network at the Clinic’s facilities. Bridges Health Partners and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield struck a three-year, value-based agreement on July 25 for Highmark’s Medicare Advantage members in Western Pennsylvania. Bridges Health Partners is a regional network of approximately 1,000 physicians from institutions in Pennsylvania such as Butler Health System, Excela Health in Greensburg, St. Clair Health in Pittsburgh, and Washington Health System.

1. Cigna and Ascension Health Alabama have renewed their commercial contract , the Birmingham Business Journal reported Aug. 2. The two had struggled over the past few months to reach an agreement over reimbursement rates.
2. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Wisconsin and Ascension Wisconsin signed a multiyear value-based contract Aug. 2 to extend an in-network partnership between the two organizations.
3. Aetna and Houston-based Texas Children’s Hospital signed a contract Aug. 1 to keep Texas Children’s primary care, urgent care and specialty care physicians and providers located in Austin in network with Aetna.
4. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Cleveland Clinic reached a deal on a multiyear contract July 31 that will keep Anthem’s Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and employer-sponsored health plan members in network at the Clinic’s facilities.
5. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield and Bridges Health Partners signed a three-year, value-based agreement July 25 for Highmark’s Medicare Advantage members in Western Pennsylvania. Bridges Health Partners is a regional network of over 1,000 physicians from Pennsylvania organizations that include Butler Health System, Excela Health in Greensburg, St. Clair Health in Pittsburgh and Washington Health System.
6. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and OU Health in Oklahoma City signed a three-year in-network agreement July 16. The new contract will center around a value-based care delivery and payment model to incentivize providers to focus on whole-person health.
7. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine and Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston inked a multiyear contract for Anthem’s commercial and Medicare Advantage plan members to remain in network, WABI reported July 14.
8. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Georgia and Northside Hospital in Atlanta agreed to a new contract July 12 following a dispute over reimbursement rates that went all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court. All 400,000 Northside patients with Anthem policies will have in-network access to Northside’s facilities “for the foreseeable future.”
