Aiming to further improve the health and lives of members across Michigan, Priority Health, the third biggest provider-sponsored health plan, has joined hands with an all-inclusive and extensively used health record system Epic to deploy the Payer Platform with its delivery system Spectrum Health.

The deal will let two-way swapping of patient health details at the time of care between Priority Health and providers. With the Payer Platform on board, the Michigan health insurer will be able to cut the cost of healthcare.
2. Value-based care:
Priority Health has become the first in the Midwestern US, to have the Epic platform. It said that the partnership is part of its long-drawn-out plan to facilitate and expedite people-centered services.

It will help providers get a holistic view of people’s health, enabling them to make better decisions and focus on judicious use of evidence-based medicine (EBM).
4. Aid 1m:
The Michigan health insurer, in coming years, will aid over one million members with their computerized medical records.
