Blue Cross of Idaho has announced the appointment of Paul Zurlo as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company. The current CEO, Charlene Maher, will step down from her role on January 1st and will continue to serve in an advisory capacity until 2024, according to a press release shared with Becker’s on May 12th.
Paul Zurlo has been a part of Blue Cross of Idaho since 2016, and his most recent position was President of Health Markets. Before joining Blue Cross of Idaho, Zurlo held the position of Vice President of Business Development at EmblemHealth. He also has a wealth of experience from his leadership roles at Pfizer, WellPoint, and Empire BlueCross BlueShield.
