Blue Cross of Idaho has appointed Dr. Melissa Kizilos as Chief Medical Officer and Leslie Carter as Chief Operations Officer. Dr. Kizilos was previously Corporate Medical Director at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas, while Ms. Carter served as Vice President at Highmark Health. Paul Zurlo will become the President and CEO on January 1, 2024. Headquartered in Meridian, Idaho, Blue Cross of Idaho serves 577,800 members.
Blue Cross of Idaho has made key leadership appointments, naming Dr. Melissa Kizilos as the Chief Medical Officer and Leslie Carter as the Chief Operations Officer.
In a press release issued on September 15th, it was revealed that Dr. Kizilos previously served as the Corporate Medical Director for National Accounts at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas.
Ms. Carter brings a wealth of experience to her role as she was most recently the Vice President of Enablement and Automation Solutions at Highmark Health, headquartered in Pittsburgh.
Earlier this year, Blue Cross of Idaho announced Paul Zurlo as their incoming President and CEO, set to assume the position on January 1, 2024.
