By collaborating with stakeholders from various communities in Arizona, leveraging clinical expertise, and utilizing digital tools, we aim to create a healthcare experience that meets the demands of our customers – an experience that is affordable, personalized, and convenient. Prosano Health Solutions, Inc. aims to improve access to care, reduce complexity and waste, and enhance the overall healthcare journey for patients and providers.
Pam Kehaly, the President and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona expressed their commitment to transforming the healthcare experience in Arizona and improving its accessibility and affordability. She believes that Prosano Health Solutions, Inc. will allow them to play a more significant role in Arizona’s healthcare system compared to their current position as a health insurance company alone.
Prosano Health Solutions, Inc. has already opened its first Advanced Primary Care Center under the new company, with plans to open three more locations in Maricopa County by 2024. The initial launch in January was limited to AZ Blue employees, with 1,800 employees and their dependents enrolling. Early data and feedback from patients indicate positive outcomes in terms of cost and quality of care, with patient satisfaction scores higher than the industry average and a notable reduction of over 20% in Emergency Room visits.
The Advanced Primary Care Centers offer a comprehensive care model, providing convenient access to a primary care team, behavioral health practitioners, lab services, same-day appointments, virtual options, and a range of essential prescription medications.
Starting January 2024, employer groups will have the option to enroll in AZ Blue’s BlueSignature Prosano plan, which grants their employees exclusive access to Prosano Health’s Advanced Primary Care Centers, as well as a national PPO.
Beth Ginzinger, the Chief Transformation Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and President of Prosano Health Solutions, Inc., emphasized that the Advanced Primary Care offering is just the beginning of its journey towards becoming a health solutions company. They plan to target specific geographic areas in Arizona that require tailored solutions to improve access to care.
