Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts (Blue Cross) is taking swift action to ensure prompt access to healthcare for its members affected by severe weather in New York and Vermont.
With over 7,500 members residing in areas under states of emergency, Blue Cross is working diligently to facilitate convenient and timely access to medical services and medications.
During the duration of the emergency declaration, the following measures have been implemented:
1. Early refills of all prescription medications.
2. Affected members can avail themselves of Well Connection, Blue Cross’ dedicated telehealth platform, for free access to medical and mental health services. No copayments or deductibles are required, and the code BCBSMA161 can be used.
