Jeff Cook, the Chief Operating Officer of Bright Health, is leaving the company effective October 13th. His responsibilities will be redistributed among other senior employees. Cook initially joined in May 2022 as CEO of NeueHealth, the company’s value-based care delivery division. Bright Health has been winding down its insurance offerings, and in June, Molina Healthcare announced its intention to acquire Bright Health’s California Medicare Advantage business for $600 million, marking the company’s exit from the insurance sector.
Bright Health’s Chief Operating Officer, Jeff Cook, is set to step down from his position, with his departure scheduled for October 13th.
In a regulatory filing dated September 21st, the company announced that Mr. Cook’s duties would be reassigned among other seasoned executives within the organization. Jeff Cook initially joined Bright Health in May 2022, assuming the role of CEO for the company’s value-based care delivery division, NeueHealth.
Bright Health has been actively engaged in the process of phasing out its insurance offerings. Back in June, Molina Healthcare expressed its intent to acquire Bright Health’s California Medicare Advantage business, which represents the company’s final remaining insurance product. This acquisition is valued at $600 million.
