Truli for Health (Truli) is a new health maintenance organization that is an associate of Florida Blue and an independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association (HMO). It is being offered in a few Florida regions to provide small and medium-sized enterprises with a new choice for providing high-quality, easily accessible, and more inexpensive health care coverage to their employees. Employers in the area can start enrolling in the plan on Oct. 1 thanks to a partnership with Baptist Health Care in northwest Florida.
- Highlights: The COVID-19 public health crisis has highlighted the critical necessity for individuals and companies to have access to health care. Tuli’s top objective is to assist businesses in obtaining high-quality, cost-effective, and individualized health care. Healthier communities and workplaces result from increased access to care. This new HMO caters to the demands of our local business sector, which frequently has financial challenges in providing health insurance to its employees.
- New solutions: Truli provides members with a one-of-a-kind solution to this problem by providing employers with simple plans and low charges, as well as accessible access to top local health care providers for members. Truli and its anchor providers have teamed up to develop a patient-centered, value-based care plan that guides members through the health system to get the care they need when they need it.
- Responsible: “As a health care system and one of the largest non-governmental employers in the area, we understand the responsibility and reward of investing in a healthy workplace,” said Mark Faulkner, president, and CEO, Baptist Health Care. “We offer an extensive primary care/specialist provider network and convenient locations throughout our community. Partnering with Truli for Health and Florida Blue to support our local businesses brings affordable benefits solutions to employers and exceptional care options to their teams.”
- An anchor: Baptist Health Care is the anchor provider in northwest Florida, partnering with Truli to bring this innovative approach to area employers and employees. Baptist Health Care, the area’s sole locally based health system, will collaborate with Truli and other like-minded providers who value affordability and quality. GuideWell Primary Care, which is administered by Baptist Health Care and is linked with Florida Blue, is one of the providers.
- Relationship: “Florida Blue has a long-standing relationship with Baptist Health Care, and we are extremely pleased to be working with them and our other provider partners through Truli for Health that was built from the ground up to leverage value-based care,” said Andy Marino, president of Truli for Health. “We believe there’s a way to deliver affordable, customized care that promotes greater collaboration across health care providers and payors, leading to a better experience, plus lower costs to patients and businesses. We appreciate Baptist’s commitment to our vision for serving local employers in an innovative new way.”
