- Who all invested: The funding was led by venture capital and private equity firm Insight Partners. It also included investments from entertainment industry veterans like Kevin Reilly, former chief creative officer of HBO Max, and Emiliano Calemzuk, the former president of Fox Television Studios and CEO of Shine Group Americas. Present investors Booster Ventures and Stardom Ventures also took part in the round
- Hollywood studios: Deepdub, which was founded by two brothers Ofir and Nir Krakowski in 2019, has collaborated with several Hollywood studios on different projects to localize content of TV and film content. The Israeli startup said the new funding will be utilized to take on work on other projects.
- Global reach: Deepdub said, “The funds will be used to expand the global reach of the company’s sales and delivery teams, bolster the Tel Aviv-based research and development team with additional top-notch researchers and developers, and further enhance the company’s best-in-class deep learning-based localization platform.” It will also use the funding to increase its team of 30 full-time employees.
- New markets: “This funding fuels our ability to scale the team and expand into new markets based on a shared vision of bringing the magic of AI-based localization to audiences worldwide,” said Deepdub co-founder and CEO Ofir Krakowski.
