The White House shared that it has partnered with dating apps to provide unique incentives to users who had gotten the live-saving jab in the U.S. According to the White House, apps like Hinge, Tinder, Match, and Bumble will allow you to display your vaccination status and will give you free access to premium content if you have got the shot.
- A new policy to enroll: Taking the engagement of people in the vaccination roll-out up a notch, the White House shared that it has partnered with dating apps to provide unique incentives to users who had gotten the live-saving jab in the US. “We have finally found one thing that makes us more attractive, Vaccination!” — it announced its latest efforts to encourage the participation of the youth in the vaccination roll-out.
- Dating apps play in: Apps like Hinge, Tinder, Match, and Bumble are offering special incentives to people who roll up their sleeves, including badges showing vaccination status and free access to premium content. BLK and Chispa will boost profiles of those who are vaccinated, to make them more visible to potential matches. And OkCupid will even let users filter out potential partners based on whether they’ve gotten a vaccine.
- Incentivize youngers to vaccinate: The White House will also use dating apps to spread awareness and direct the masses to the vaccination centers near them. Educational materials and information on how to find the nearest vaccination site will be uploaded on these apps for the users’ benefit. Additional promotional efforts include potential cash prizes to lucky vaccinated individuals, and free giveaways and state lotteries to the inoculated.
- The latest effort of government: The program is the federal government’s latest effort to boost vaccination rates in the U.S. and achieve President Joe Biden’s goal of getting 70% of adults at least one jab by July 4. The administration partnered with Twitter Inc. and Facebook Inc. in April to send push notifications informing users of their vaccine eligibility and teamed up with Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. this month to offer free rides to anyone going to get vaccinated.
- Mass vaccination to roll in: “Bottom line is we’re all saying ‘get vaccinated,’” Dr. Anthony Fauci, the White House chief medical officer said. Fauci says if 70% of the country gets at least one shot by July Fourth, the chances of another surge would be extremely low.
