The partnership will pilot the technology in the emergency departments of two hospitals and will expand to two additional hospitals. Care teams will then review and finalize the notes before they are integrated into patient electronic health records (EHRs).

Therefore, healthcare organizations have been prioritizing EHR optimization and clinical documentation improvement to reduce clinician burnout. HCA Healthcare will pilot Augmedix’s ASR- and NLP-based documentation solutions in the emergency departments (EDs) of two hospitals. The pilot will then expand to two additional hospitals.

Open Door Family Medical Center, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in New York, successfully adopted an AI-based EHR documentation service last year to alleviate clinician burnout after losing on-site scribing services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
