HIMSS and Informa Markets have partnered to enhance the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition. Informa will manage the event operations while HIMSS focuses on content and programming. Attendees can expect improved registration processes, digital features, and marketing tools. The collaboration aims to elevate the global healthcare ecosystem and maintain the event’s high-quality experience.
HIMSS and Informa Markets have joined forces to enhance the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition. Under this agreement, Informa Markets will take over the management of the massive health technology conference, while HIMSS will continue to oversee the expert content and event programming.
The HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition, which attracted over 40,000 healthcare and technology professionals, as well as representatives from various government organizations and more than 1,200 exhibitors in Chicago, will now benefit from Informa Markets’ expertise in improving event experiences, providing media and marketing services, and offering online marketplaces for B2B industries.
Hal Wolf, the President, and CEO of HIMSS, mentioned in a HIMSS TV interview that the partnership with Informa was a logical step as it allows HIMSS to focus on delivering top-notch content and programming while leveraging Informa’s operational excellence.
The agreement was signed recently, and the next HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition is scheduled to take place in March 2024 in Orlando. With the collaboration, attendees, and exhibitors can look forward to enhanced registration processes, digital features, product discovery applications, and marketing tools.
Around 30 HIMSS employees responsible for curating the Global Conference were transferred to Informa, ensuring continuity in services. Both companies have established an advisory board to guide the event’s direction.
Despite the partnership, the name of the conference will remain the same, and attendees can expect to experience a similar event, but with added improvements. Both parties are committed to improving the overall event experience and expanding the reach of the association on a global scale.
