YUHS plans to enhance medical robot education through international visits to partner companies, further strengthening their commitment to advanced medical technology training.
Singapore’s TTSH Introduces AI-Powered Diabetes Management
Tan Tock Seng Hospital has launched an innovative AI-powered mobile diabetes application that pairs with BUZUD’s continuous glucose monitoring device. The CARB-CGM integrated digital system offers real-time glucose readings and features sophisticated AI technology that can estimate carbohydrate content from meal photos.
The system analyzes health data to calculate insulin sensitivity factors, enabling personalized insulin dosage recommendations. According to TTSH Medicine Division chairperson Daniel Chew, the system eliminates guesswork in insulin administration, addressing challenges faced by patients requiring multiple daily insulin doses. Miscalculations in dosing can cause dangerous blood sugar fluctuations, making this technology particularly valuable.
This development represents the latest collaborative research effort between TTSH and CGM device manufacturer BUZUD.
