Supporting this transformative vision requires unprecedented data infrastructure. Over the past five years, Mayo Clinic has digitized nearly 100 petabytes of deidentified clinical data covering 8 million patients. To put this in perspective, one petabyte equals approximately 500 billion pages of standard printed text—enough paper to fill 20 million tall filing cabinets.
