ADHS Launches AI for All Healthcare Mission

ADHS

What Is the AI for All Mission

The Academy of Digital Health Sciences (ADHS) has officially launched its ‘AI for All’ Mission, a landmark initiative aimed at expanding artificial intelligence across healthcare systems worldwide. Union Minister Jitendra Singh, from the Prime Minister’s Office, launched the mission in a significant ceremony marking a new chapter for digital health in India.

The mission connects directly to a vision ADHS first outlined in 2022 — Digital Health for All by 2028. That target year carries deep significance. It marks the 50th anniversary of the historic Alma-Ata Declaration on Primary Health Care, a global commitment to accessible and equitable health for all. The AI for All Mission honours that legacy by making digital health tools available to every healthcare stakeholder, from clinicians to policymakers.

This initiative arrives at a time when AI is transforming medicine, diagnostics, and health administration. However, adoption remains uneven. ADHS believes that systemic change requires educated leaders, trained professionals, and structured programmes — and the AI for All Mission delivers exactly that.

Certified Digital Health Officer Programme

A Certification Built for Healthcare Leaders

As a core component of the AI for All Mission, ADHS has unveiled the Certified Digital Health Officer (CDHO) programme. This certification targets healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, founders, government officials, and policy leaders who need a strategic understanding of digital transformation.

The CDHO programme is offered jointly by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur and the Academy of Digital Health Sciences. Participants completing the programme receive IIM Executive Alumni status, adding significant professional credibility to the certification.

Sanjeev Prashar, Director-In-Charge at IIM Raipur, explained the rationale clearly: healthcare leadership must evolve alongside technology. The CDHO programme equips C-suite executives and policy professionals with the strategic thinking needed to lead digital change at scale. IIM Raipur’s involvement reflects the institution’s commitment to shaping the next generation of health leadership.

Why This Programme Matters

Digital transformation in healthcare is accelerating rapidly. Yet many leaders lack formal training in navigating these changes effectively. The CDHO fills that gap by combining management expertise with healthcare-specific digital knowledge — a combination India’s healthcare system urgently needs.

Post-Graduate Digital Health Course

Bridging Public Health and Digital Innovation

The second major offering under the AI for All Mission is a post-graduate course in Digital Health and Public Health. Three institutions jointly certify this programme: ADHS, IIM Raipur, and the PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences, a deemed university.

The curriculum covers a broad and rigorous set of topics, including:

  • Epidemiology and disease tracking
  • Health informatics and data systems
  • AI-driven surveillance for public health monitoring
  • Digital therapeutics for patient care
  • Public health strategy and policy design

A Blended Learning Experience

The programme uses a blended learning format. Students combine online coursework with on-campus immersion sessions at IIM Raipur, PHFI, and the ADHS Global Digital Health Summit. This structure ensures learners gain both theoretical foundations and practical exposure in real academic environments.

K Srinath Reddy, Chancellor of PHFI Institute of Public Health Sciences, described the convergence of digital and public health as a societal imperative, not merely an academic achievement. He noted that this certification is the first of its kind globally, designed to produce professionals who can navigate both disciplines with equal expertise and compassion. PHFI and ADHS joining forces adds the momentum India’s public health programmes need.

Triple-Certified Programme by ADHS, IIM and PHFI

A Globally Unique Qualification

ADHS, IIM Raipur, and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) University have also partnered to launch a triple-certified programme in Digital Health, Management, and Public Health. This programme offers a qualification jointly validated by all three institutions — an arrangement with no direct parallel anywhere in the world.

The triple certification model ensures graduates carry credentials respected across healthcare systems, management sectors, and public health organisations. Furthermore, it signals a deeper institutional commitment to interdisciplinary health education at the highest level.

Who Should Enroll

This programme suits working professionals in healthcare administration, public health practice, health technology startups, and government health departments. Additionally, it serves those who want formal recognition combining management rigor with health systems expertise.

Vision for 2028 and the Alma-Ata Legacy

Making AI a Right, Not a Privilege

Rajendra Pratap Gupta, Founder and Chairman of ADHS and the AI for All Mission, framed the broader ambition powerfully. He stated that AI must be a right for all — not a luxury for the few. ADHS, he emphasised, is actively building that future one learner, one clinician, and one system at a time.

The AI for All Mission represents a promise: by 2028, digital health will be within reach of every person with internet access on the planet. That deadline aligns with the 50th anniversary of the Alma-Ata Declaration, giving the mission both historical weight and urgent forward momentum.

A Roadmap for Inclusive Digital Health

Collectively, these programmes demonstrate that inclusive digital health education is achievable when institutions collaborate with purpose. ADHS, IIM Raipur, and PHFI have together built a pathway for the next generation of digital health leaders — professionals who will carry AI into every corner of the health system, ensuring that no community is left behind.
