LifeArts Integrated Health Center, PC/LifeArts Medical, LLC in Nebraska recently completed an eClinicalWorks EHR implementation to improve interoperability and drive operational efficiencies.
The Nebraska healthcare organization provides several specialties, including chiropractic care, acupuncture therapy, medical care, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, allergy testing and treatment, and DOT testing.
“We wanted to improve our operational efficiency and leverage data for value-based care,” Julie Howard, DC, FNP-BC of LifeArts Integrated Health Center/LifeArts Medical, said in a public statement.
The EHR implementation collates medical information from specialties, urgent care facilities, hospitals, and primary care providers to enable faster and more accurate clinical decision-making through PRISMA, a health information search tool.
“We can now access patient data with a simple search,” Howard said. “PRISMA’s intelligent search features accounts for abbreviations and terminology, making it easy for our providers and staff to find exactly what they’re looking for within seconds.”
Howard noted that PRISMA also displays patient charts, notes, and lab results in a side-by-side view, limiting clicks for a faster search experience.
With access to the health information search tool, the healthcare organization can now connect with every EHR participating in the CommonWell and Carequality interoperability networks to access patient records.
American Endovascular & Amputation Prevention LLC also recently completed an eClinicalWorks EHR implementation to enhance interoperability.
With seven centers across New York, New Jersey, and Ohio, the practice needed a system to manage clinic and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) operations.
“With our previous EHR, we used a different database for each tax ID,” Deborah Helmer, COO of American Endovascular, explained in a public statement. “This added administrative work for physicians and slowed down our practice workflows.”
“We often had many entries for the same patient across our Practice Management and EHR solution,” Helmer said. “With eClinicalWorks, we now have access to everything in one place. We can use PRISMA to gather patient records from a variety of national and local sources, allowing for better and faster decision making at the point of care.”
